What is Onychophagy?
Severe Onychophagy is the term used for severe nail biting due to tension, insecurity or habit. The nail plate can be torn or bitten back with visible flesh lines at the free edge. The surrounding skin is often hard or extremely sore or swollen and the nail plate can be uneven.
